In memory of our
This past April, Bernarda Junco died in his native Ecuador; an exemplary and vibrant woman in the Margate Catholic community.
Those of us who had the opportunity to meet her and work with her, we learned of her kindness, kindness and that great gift of giving and helping. Her activity was developed within the Legion of Mary, which she presided over for many years until it was my turn to relieve her. Even without knowing what my responsibility as president would be, Bernarda taught me and guided me in this work of spiritual good.
And so, I began to get involved in that group of Legionaries and the plausible work they did in the community. I was encouraged and actively participated in the great Feast of the Magi that Bernarda founded with the delivery of toys to children of the Parish of the Church of St. Vincent in Margate. This noble work with donations from institutions and commerce in that city, offered food, music, dance, raffles, gifts and fun for the whole family. We also organized the Acies event with our Praesidium Virgen Purísima de Fátima, made visits to nursing homes, hospitals, and prayed the Rosary to them. There were many years of events prepared by this great woman who could not escape the clutches of the Covid-19 pandemic.
May our most sincere words of condolences reach your family for the loss of Bernarda Junco, a struggling mother, friend, spiritual guide and impregnated with all that love that she shed as she passed through this land.
