The Argentine-Latin American Film and Art Festival at Nova Southeastern University has concluded
The event coincides with the celebration,
at the national level, of Hispanic Heritage Month
As she has done every year for the past 26 years, Adriana Bianco has organized the Argentine-Latin American Film and Art Festival at Nova Southeastern University in Broward County. Every Sunday in September at 2 p.m., before the film screenings, she presents guests connected to the arts and literature, as well as singers, musical groups, and dancers. Afterward, Adriana discusses the film. Her extensive and meticulous research allows her to provide the audience with a wealth of information and prepare them for the screening.
Alongside the festival, an art exhibition is on display. This year it is dedicated to the Uruguayan artist José Gamarra, showcasing his work. The exhibition, open to the public, will run until October 15. The venue for the exhibition is the elegant Alvin Sherman Library (2nd floor) at the Cotilla Art Gallery at Nova University.
Among the films shown were: My World Cup - Tribute to Football (Uruguay), Golden Closing - Beginnings (Puerto Rico), Sucre (Venezuela) and A Love by Borges (Argentina).
Each year, this free event grows in popularity in our communities because it has become a cultural hub, a wonderful place to meet people involved in art, literature, and music, and a great way to spend a pleasant Sunday afternoon. It's well worth attending and supporting.
We are grateful for the great support of Nova Southeastern University, the Don Pan and Starbucks companies of Broward for their generous sponsorship of the Venezuela film, and all those who contribute to ensuring that this cultural event continues in the coming years.
